My recent travel schedule and workload have had an impact on my blog posts, so I’ve decided to set myself the challenge of writing 81 posts on Windows 8.1 changes and feature enhancements, while reinforcing some of the changes that were introduced with Windows 8. The posts will effectively fall into one of the following categories

1.  New features
2. Enhanced features from Windows 8
3. Better Together – Windows 8.1 features that need Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2
4. Windows 8.1 Devices
5. What each edition brings
6. Usability enhancements

I will probably add more categories during the course of the challenge, but that’s enough to get me on the way, and start completing the article stubs that need to be completed.

If we assume a yearly update cycle for Windows now, that means I have to try to do almost 2 posts a week, which should be achievable. I’m just thankful I’m not a Windows Server MVP, I think that 2012 posts in a year would be too much of a challenge.

Later today I’ll start with what features Windows 8.1 Pro and Windows 8.1 Enterprise add to Windows 8.1, as it’s probably best to get this out of the way first.
